hello dear KM friends!!! iam surprised wz going up nowdays. i am surprised what would happen if a KM fighter is confronted by kyukoshin karate or muai thai type martial art.???
i heard people by saying thet KM is just a scam to make money. i never seen any KM fighter in UFC or MMA tournament!!!
see you too join any full contact martial art .
Hi, During combat it’s not the art-form that fight, its two individuals and their skill set and devoted in practising the art-form that really matters. Any art form can be effective in combat if the practioner has worked hard in it & has a good instructor to guide him/her. Krav Maga was not designed for UFC and MMA fight clubs where its restricted by rules and one to one fight inside a ring. And Krav Maga is more than just hand to hand combat as it involves lot of tactical & techniques like counter-terror situations, hostage crisis, gun retention, arrest and control tactics, searching and hancuffing, special operations (ie. Suicide/Homicide Bomber) etc … I am sure all these subjects are not covered in MMA or UFC rings. Lot of people say a lot of stuff, what really matters is one should practise in whatever he/she believe’s in – Krav Maga or MMA etc…
“i heard people by saying thet KM is just a scam to make money.”(from previous writer). I am writing with utmost concern sir, I am beginning to think like that too. I have no doubts about the art and you, it is fantastic, but Mr. Vicky Kapoor dont you think that someone with no KM experience, except just a week of CIC training starts training other people!!!. You may say that they have other striking arts experience, but pls remember they are new to KM. Unless they train in it and become an expert, they are doing injustice by teaching people with half baked knowledge. How many CIC holders (who are not your direct pupils) have experience in multi partner sparring? It is like getting a black belt in one month paying money in any karate school! and going to teach students. Quality is going down sir, please dont let KM petered out in India, I love the art but my heart is not allowing to join because of such inadequacies . With all due respect.
Dear Murugesan, Thanks for your respect towards me and your concern about the quality of Krav Maga in India. Sometimes, due to the demand of a particular state, we allow a fresh instructor to start classes. And I, myself come and revise the whole syllabus directly with the students every few months. An inexperienced instructor has to learn in real-time to gain experience in many aspects of teaching. So, please do not discourage yourself from training, I would urge you to join the classes and train and if you have any queries in anything, you can ask me directly when I am there in your city.
