Chennai Krav Maga Intro class was held in Kumararani Meena Muthiah College (KRMMC), No. 4, Crescent Avenue, Gandhi Nagar, Adyar, Chennai 600020 and was attended by around 14 participants. They were very eager to start getting a taste of Krav Maga after reading about it for many times in newspapers and magazine articles. Plus the TV series like Fight Quest also drove them to contact Mr. Vicky Kapoor and ask him for class details.

As a woman i simply love being able to show a jackass on the street that i’m the boss of my life and its security, and he can go to hell.

    Hello Mr Vicky,

    We seem to share a part of our names, my name is Vikram Mahadev and I too am called Vicky in short. If you remember I contacted you around a year and a half before asking if you had plans about starting to train Chennai inmates in Krav Maga. The Krav Maga drill that your federation held on 14th September here in Chennai more than made my close to 2 years long wait worthy. I had a good clue about what Krav Maga is all about and came in with a lot of expectations. I definitely left as a satisfied man. Thanks for doing this.

    The trainer Mr Frank was very focussed and made the session very interactive. He hit the nail on the head all the time and never once deviated. Those little over 3 hours of training and demonstration definitely made me eager about what more does Krav Maga have to offer us.

    I have a background in Martial arts myself. I am trained in Savate (French Kick Boxing) and Muay Thai too. Compared to both of those I find a great simplicity in the techniques that Krav Maga teaches. I didn’t have any trouble in unwinding or unlearning any of my previous lessons in martial arts and that was the best thing about Krav Maga. When I switched over from Savate to Muay Thai I had some advantages and disadvantages. For example the round house kick was executed differently in these two martial arts and I had to spend around or over 3 months to adopt to the new style. Through out the entire session we had I too looked like a beginner myself barring the fact that my punches and kicks were a little more powerful and precise. I am one of those who are eager to take up Krav Maga when it comes to Chennai. An outcome of that was the mail that I had sent you a year and a half before.

    Once again thank you very much for arranging the Krav Maga drill in Chennai.
