About Vicky Kapoor

Vicky Kapoor is currently appointed as the Chief and Director of International Krav-Maga Federation (IKMF), India. Krav-Maga is a world-renowned, effective and practical System of Defensive Tactics, Fighting Skills and and is the official system of defense and tactical fighting of the Defense Forces, National and Police and has been adapted and incorporated by many law and military agencies worldwide.

Vicky has trained in Israel with Eyal Yanilov (Head Instructor), Gabi Naoh and Amnon Darsa, the three senior most instructors of IKMF. Certified by IKMF, Israel, he became India’s First Law Enforcement Instructor, SWAT Instructor, Civilian Instructor and . He has also been appointed Managing Director of Ultimate Tactical and Combat Pvt. Ltd., a firm catering to and combatgear and trainingequipment and various related services. He also supports Indian based Stick Fighting (Lathi) arts to help it achieve international standards.

In Chinese arts, he has trained in Tai-chi-chuan and Qigong. He has also trained in Boxing, Kick boxing, Taekwondo, Pilates, Thai massage, Foot Reflexology and other rehab forms. In the quest for , and the study of various arts, he has traveled widely to such places as Okinawa-Japan, China, Thailand, Singapore, England, Italy, France, Spain, Holland, Russia, Israel, Argentina, Hungary and Germany.

At present Vicky is based in Delhi and heads various organisations. He founded Vicky’s School of Oriental Arts (VISOA) whcih is a Registered Trust dedicated to promoting and imparting in arts to various govt., semi-govt. organizations, schools and the general public. VISOA is one of the few organizations in the country offering a comprehensive package in health, , Self-Defence and arts to all age groups for holistic health, and Self-Defence and also promotes better physical, mental and spiritual well-being in people.

“It is my goal and a mission to contribute towards our society by helping future generations to grow-up into a cadre of physically fit, emotionally strong and responsible citizens for the best of our country and the world.”

To this end, VISOA’s team of senior and dedicated instructors we are imparting arts to more than 50, 000 students in Delhi, Mumbai, Maharashtra, Karnataka, J&K, H.P., Uttaranchal, Utter Pradesh and Rajasthan and is now gradually spreading its wings to many more states on demand.

VISOA also conducts health awareness and physical programs – both intramural and outbound, for employees of several corporate bodies under Vicky’s guidance while he also conduct ’s to promote healthy lifestyle practices for the corporate and several celebrities of Delhi, Mumbai and London on an individual level.

VISOA is affiliated and associated to many national and international organizations of repute like World Confederation (WKC), Geneva; Sekai Goju-Ryu -do Ryusyokai, Japan; Goju Ryu -do Federation of India; -Do Federation of India; Delhi State -Do Association, Hapkido federation of India, Kubudo Federation of India, Qi-Gong Federation of India, ‘Chin na’ Federation of India, Women and Safety Awareness Foundation, Arts Federation for Physically Challenged and Aikido Federation of India.

In the past, Vicky has personally conducted courses in Arts for the personnel of Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Central Reserve Force, Border Force, the Dogra Regiment, Rapid Action Force, the Air India cabin crew, and ground staff as well as Mumbai Customs and Excise.

In June, 2003 was awarded 5th Dan - -Do by World Confederation and am the only Asian to hold this title in Goju Ryu style. He was also been certified by WKC as a referee & coach and has refereed in two international events, 4th World Championships 2003, St. Petersburg and Pan-American Open World Championships- 2003, Argentina. Recently, -Do Federation of India awarded him with a 7th Dan.

Recently, he concluded Self-Defence for women in Delhi, based on Krav-Maga, which was hosted by India Today Group and Electrolux. Krav-Maga has been imparted to many corporates, as a regular event. VISOA was also involved in helping the women inmates of Tihar Jails to regain their sense of balance about life through the Chinese art of self-healing- Qigong.
